Nevada State EV Charger Incentive Programs
Nevada's Interstate Corridor Depot Program aims to increase charging infrastructure on high-traffic interstate and highway corridors to facilitate EV travel to Las Vegas, the Reno-Tahoe area, and across Nevada. Selected sites may be developed, owned, and operated by NV Energy, a qualified Third-Party Provider, or the Customer. In all ownership scenarios, NV Energy will develop, build, and cover costs associated with grid side and make ready infrastructure. At the federal level, the Alternative Fuel Vehicle Refueling Property Credit (also known as IRS 30C tax credit) is available to businesses who install qualified EV charging equipment in an eligible location. Businesses are eligible for a tax credit of:
-
6% of the depreciable costs, up to $100,000 per item OR
-
30% of the depreciable costs, up to $100,000 per item if the installation meets U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage and apprenticeship requirements
