Arizona State EV Charger Incentive Programs

As of May 2025, Arizona does not offer any state-level EV charger incentives. However, the Alternative Fuel Vehicle Refueling Property Credit (also known as IRS 30C tax credit) is available to businesses who install qualified EV charging equipment in an eligible location. Businesses are eligible for a tax credit of:

6% of the depreciable costs, up to $100,000 per item OR
30% of the depreciable costs, up to $100,000 per item if the installation meets U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage and apprenticeship requirements

Arizona EV Charger Rebates

The following utilities offer rebates and other incentives to help you simplify--and save on--EV charger installation and fleet electrification.

Tucson Electric Power (TEP) has a Smart EV Charging Program that offers both rebates and technical support to commercial businesses, multi-family complexes, and nonprofit customers that purchase and install EV charging ports at their locations. Customers located in disadvantaged communities (DACs) may be eligible for higher rebates. Current commercial customers rebates of up to $2,500 per Level 2 charging port and up to $25,000 per DC Fast charging port installed at a business location. Pre-approval is required and rebates are capped at 100% of project costs. Current rebates are $1,800 per L2 charging port ($2,700 for DAC eligible projects) and $15,000 per DC fast charging port ($25,000 for DAC eligible projects).

Salt River Project (SRP) offers rebates of $2,500 per networked L2 charging port and $20,000 per DC fast charging port for businesses. The rebates increase to $3,500 per L2 charging port and $25,000 per DC fast charging port for government, multifamily, nonprofit, and school customers. View eligibility requirements or apply here.
